Those Clever Etihad Crew!!

It's a great tradition in most airlines, that as an antidote to the stressful training, each training group will devise a skit to perform at their graduation (or 'wings') ceremony.

I stumbled across this little gem on YouTube, sung to the tune of 'Summer Nights' from Grease. Very clever, especially the last line!!! =D

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!

Spreading Your Wings...

Earlier today was chatting with a friend online and we were talking about the movie 'View From the Top'. If you haven't seen it, it's a cheesy but endearing look at the world of flight attendants. (Well, most of us love it, anyway)

I always liked one of the songs in the movie, it's about new beginnings and doing things you want to do... and it really did capture the feeling of starting new. I could totally relate to how Donna feels as she comes up the escalator in the airport, seeing the smile on her face. I think all crew have that feeling the first time they put on their new uniform and walk through the airport. (FYI, no, we do not salute each other like that - I did warn you it's a bit cheesy ;)

PS- I love her shoes but they'd be a killer to work in, let alone a longhaul flight from NY to France!!! I do want her hat though. And, for the trivia buffs, my airline makes an appearance in the video too... :P
